Invicta - The Invincible Watch

!±8± Invicta - The Invincible Watch

Invicta wrist watches began life back in 1837 where they introduced their first affordable timepiece, which was crafted by the Swiss watchmaker Raphael Picard. It was through this timepiece that the brand got the name Invicta, which is the Latin for invincible. What Picard wanted to portray with this brand is Swiss quality, durability and beauty. He wanted to bring all of these aspects to people at a price that everyone would be able to afford and as it turns out the choice of name for this brand was a very appropriate one as Invicta watches have now been around for over 175 years!

The company as it stands now is known as the Invicta Watch Company of America, Inc. This company was founded in 1991 and is based in Hollywood, Florida as well as having locations in L'Abbeye, Switzerland, the Republic of Panama, and the Netherlands. Through this company men's Invicta watches are developed and manufactured and sold on to retailers.

This brand has a strong commitment to the use of high quality materials and Swiss-made movements, which are all at affordable prices. However like all good company's the Invicta men's watch line has had its up's and down's like when the brand nearly disappeared during the quartz watch boom of the 1970's. It was during this time that the company experienced a slump in sales. However in 1991 the watch brand re-established itself. By doing this it regained determination and drive, the same determination and drive that was demonstrated by the founder. It got back its commitment to offering fine Swiss men's watches at modest prices and it did all of these things through the collections that they offered. For example the Invicta Pro Diver collection went on to develop a cult-like following from lovers and collectors of fine time pieces. This collection is now one of the best selling lines when it comes to the Invicta brand.

As well as the Pro Diver collection the Lupah Swiss Chronograph collection has also become a huge favorite among many men but the enthusiasm for this brand doesn't stop here. Back in 2003 the brand had an overview of all their collections and made a decision to bring back their Vintage 1948 collection and the Object d'Art series. It was this series of watches that featured automatic movements, moonphase indicators and guilloch dials with heartbeat openings.

Invicta watches are continuing to establish themselves and all in all they are doing a great job of it thanks to high quality craftsmanship as well as the ability to keep up with fashion trends and demands, which is why this brand is a popular choice among watch wearing men globally and if you are one of these men you will know exactly what I'm talking about.

In our day and age most men opt to wear a wrist watch and not just for convenience; they do it as a personal statement. This is because a man's watch can say a lot about his personality as well as his status, so needless to say you need to choose the right one! And the Invicta collection is the perfect place to start

How to Build a Rock Fire Pit

!±8± How to Build a Rock Fire Pit

Have you always wanted the nice sound of a cackling fire coming from your backyard? Hearing your families laughter as they are sitting around an open fire roasting marshmallows? Just sitting back with a nice cold beer after a long days work? Now is your chance, all you need to do is put in a little effort and you can be enjoying that fire by the days end! I will show you how to build a rock fire pit! You can do this as a one man job or get the whole family involved! Most of all have fun, and just remember it will all be worth it in the end!

1. Placement of fire pit

Figure out where you are going to put your rock fire pit, and remove any debris that is in the area. You always want to begin your project with a clean area! I suggest clearing a surrounding area of at least six feet in diameter. I know it seems like a huge space, but it will relieve you later, from worrying about a fire starting outside of your pit!

2. Selecting your rocks

Make sure when picking your rocks, you have them medium to large in size. They are much more stable when stacked together. Be creative, just make sure they are solid and will hold up over time!

3. Determining size of Fire pit

I suggest measuring out how big you want the base of your pit to be. Use String or another material that you can easily use as a guide when placing your bottom layer of rocks. Start with your largest rocks on bottom, working your way up to your medium rocks! Place them as closely together as possible stacking them at least ten inches off the ground!

+ Bonus tip+

If your fire pit is meant to be permanent. You can always use cement to hold your rocks together. It is a little more work, but this way it will last longer, and have less chance of being knocked down by kids, dogs, or drunken buddies!

4. Enjoy!

Last but certainly not least, stack your woodin the middle of your fire pit, add a little newspaper, light it and sit back and relax! You, your family, and friends will all be having a blast with an open fire! Who doesn't enjoy a roasted hot dog and some s'mores! Know that you have build your very own rock fire pit you can tell your friends just how simple it is and how to build a rock fire pit!

Three, the glory of bragging to all your buddies that you were man enough to make your own grill! Alright lets take a look at how to build a grill out of a 55 gallon drum.

It took us a while to get it exactly how we wanted it, but now we have 3 grills! Each one proudly displaying our favorite NFL, NCAA, and NBA teams logo! Needless to say we have a grill for every event! Over the years we have even had several family members begging us to make them one for the birthday gift! So here ya go, here is the perfect set of directions in Making a grill out of a 55 gallon drum!

Remember safety first! Be sure you have some safety gloves and glasses handy! You will be dealing with sharp edges and I have a scar to prove it!

You are going to need

Metal to use for the legs and if you want to get a little crazy a shelve Hinges and handle for the lid to the grill Metal Bars and Mesh for the Grilling surface Grinder to get rid of all those ruff edges A Sawzall, make sure you have the right blade for cutting the metal Welding equipment and other supplies Marker Last but not least, a 55 gallon Drum. And lets make sure its a CLEAN one since it will be used for cooking. You will be able to find some recycled ones, but make sure they were not used to hold toxic substances!

Directions

1. Take your marker and measure one quarter of the barrel drum. This is gonna be the lid of the grill.

2. Using your saw, cut the edge of the quarter section to cut out the lid. Depending how rough the edges are you can grid them down if need be.

3. Attach your rods for the cooking surface. Weld the bars on each end and two support ones in the middle. This is an extra step, but it will allow you to move your grade a lot easier! Weld any rough edges its better to take your time now then pay for that rough edge later!

4. Put on your hinges and handle. You can just get basic ones from your hardware sore, or if you wanna go all out you can order custom hinges online!

5. Next Attach Base! You will want to weld the legs on and make sure they are sturdy enough to support the grill. Anchoring the bottom with another piece of mesh or horizontal bars from one side to the other can help stabilize it.

This is a little bonus tip on what we did. We found our favorite teams logo online and made a stencil and placed it on to our 55 gallon drum and spray painted it! IT looks awesome! If you want to try doing something similar I would recommended doing all your painting before attaching the handles! Trust me, it looks great and all my husbands buddies are jealous! If you want to get a little crazy you can even order custom grates which adds a great touch!

Now that you know how to make a grill out of a 55 gallon drum, go out and do it!
